Introduction to RiteSong Studios

To people who might have involvement in the radio, television, film, and/or commercial production industries, the word “studios” conjures up images of glass-walled control booths, wood-floored large spaces with high ceilings, microphones, lights, cameras, and more. And, indeed, we have all of that. Everything, that is, except glass-walled control booths and wood-floored large spaces with high ceilings!

Thanks to modern technology, these days anybody with a Mac and a microphone has what it takes to record a CD – even one with fairly good sound quality. When John O’Malley began investing in more advanced gear to supplement his Macs and microphones, for recording and filming in churches and living rooms, and for producing projects for sale on CD and to air on TV, he needed a name under which to do this work. Since RiteSong’s own principle members performed for these projects, it was natural to coin the name RiteSong Studios.

John operates RiteSong Studios as a hobby. If you’re looking to record a CD and/or film a video in the Lafayette / West Lafayette, Indiana area, you’re probably actually looking for a recording studio with genuine glass-walled control booths and wood-floored rooms.
