Cathy Mindrum


Cathy Mindrum, RiteSong’s lead vocalist, has been a cantor at St. Thomas Aquinas, the Catholic Center at Purdue University, since 1995. She currently serves as a cantor and co-leader at the 9:00a Mass. Cathy sang lead vocals on “Out of Darkness” on St. Tom’s first CD, Live in the Light, and on “So We Will Worship” on St. Tom’s third CD, Christ In Me Arise. She was also featured in A Boiler Catholic Christmas, the St. Tom’s choir’s holiday television special which aired on WHMB-40 in Indianapolis, singing “O Holy Night,” “Some Children See Him,” and “Be Born In Me.”

A veteran of Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette, Cathy has performed in approximately 20 productions — and counting. Her credits include My Fair Lady (Eliza Doolitttle), Pump Boys and Dinettes (Prudie), Annie (Grace), Kiss Me, Kate (Hattie), Gypsy (Louise), A Christmas Story: The Musical (Mother) and Mamma Mia! (Rosie). Cathy was also a featured vocalist in the Lafayette Symphony Orchestra’s “The Lights of Broadway” concert.

A flute player since the fifth grade, Cathy is a former Purdue Marching Band drum major and a former member of American Music Review, a Purdue Bands ensemble.
