Betsy Warnemuende, RiteSong’s cellist, is another school orchestra success story, having first taken up the cello in the fourth grade. As her musical skills progressed, Betsy joined the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra and the Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestra.
While earning BS and MS degrees as well as a PhD, Betsy performed in the Platteville (Wisconsin) Community Symphony Orchestra, the Bozeman (Montana) Symphony Orchestra, and the Iowa State University Symphony Orchestra.
During high school, Betsy wrote, produced, and sold her own original synthesizer recording. More recently, Betsy and her cello are featured on all three St. Tom’s CDs. You can hear Betsy’s gorgeous cello performance especially well in the song “Christ In Me Arise,” which is the title track of St. Tom’s third CD.
Betsy performed with the Aquinas String Quartet and St. Tom’s 11:00a choir. Betsy also plays piano and flute.
Now residing in Madison, Wisconsin, Betsy remains a member of our RiteSong family and still joins us occasionally for recording projects.
